About Stump Sprouts

Situated atop a high meadow in rural northwest Massachusetts, Stump Sprouts provides a spectacular setting for our yoga retreat. Low-impact living, simplicity, harmony with the landscape, and sensitivity towards global environmental issues have been core values since their inception in 1977. We will hold our yoga classes in a converted dairy barn situated between the Lodge and Farmhouse. With hardwood floors and 1100 sf of space,  it is a bright, airy space with large windows and a high ceilings. There are miles of quiet trails to explore during your free time.


Accommodations

The Stump Sprouts Guest Lodge offers expansive vistas, views of the night skies, and peaceful surroundings. This cozy and rustic Lodge has seven simple guest rooms that share four bathrooms, a large living area, and dining room. Everywhere large windows bring the outdoors in. The neighboring Farmhouse has three additional bedrooms sharing two bathrooms, small kitchen facilities and a living room. Wifi is available.

Guests bring their sheets, blankets, pillows & towels.

The following pricing includes lodging, daily yoga, and all meals.

For those interested in commuting, there is a range of accommodations available in nearby towns including Plainfield, Shelburne Falls, Greenfield and North Adams. You are welcome to join us for meals and can stay on site between classes.

Delicious Vegetarian Meals

Even your chef is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher! Mege Posner has been a personal chef for 10 years and loves preparing nourishing healthy meals. If you have food restrictions or allergies please indicate this in the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate you.


Other Details

Participants are requested to bring their yoga props: 3-4 blankets, mat, two blocks, bolster and a strap.  If you do not have access to these props please let us know. We will have yoga chairs on site.

Registration will be limited to 20 participants. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Minimum 6 months experience of Iyengar Yoga required.

Cancellation details: Cancellations received by August 15 are entitled to a full refund minus a $75 admin fee. In order to keep these retreats affordable and sustainable, cancellations after August 15th will are not refundable under any circumstances. (Illness etc).
