Why We Chant

Yoga is more than movement—it’s a practice of awareness and steadiness. Chanting helps us shift focus inward and honor the depth of yoga.

  • In Foundations classes, we chant Om to center the mind and connect with the breath.

  • In Intermediate classes, we chant the Invocation to Patañjali, recognizing yoga’s roots and its path toward clarity.

Chanting is of course optional.
